Meet our Team

Dr. Peter Strogov

Dr. Peter Strogov is one of the Pediatricians and the owner of Fort Payne Pediatrics. Dr. Peter opened FPP in 2012 and has since opened several pediatric clinics across North Alabama. He received his BA from Harvard and a degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Peter serves as the President of the Rural Health Association and is a member of AMA and AAP.

Dr. Ofer Wellisch

Dr. Wellisch began his career in Pain Medicine and Neuroscience at the NIH before completing clinical training at Stanford School of Medicine. He later joined the Stanford faculty, mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows. Now on the East Coast, he leads a multidisciplinary research program at Stamford Health in collaboration with the Hospital for Special Surgery and Columbia University. His clinical leadership and commitment to mentorship deeply inform his work with our students.

Dr. Greg Mathalier

Greg is currently an Attending Physician at a hospital in Maryland. He received his BA from Columbia University, majoring in Neurobiology and Neurosciences where he was also the Chief Research Associate for Columbia's Neurocritical Care program. Greg received his MD degree from Howard University College of Medicine, and his experiences include working at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center; Emergency Medicine Resident; prehospital physician.

How We Support Our Students

Our Process

Each student is paired with a Head Advisor, who oversees the entire process—organizing materials, setting timelines, monitoring deadlines, and ensuring each component of the application (transcripts, personal statements, recommendation letters, and activity summaries) is complete and compelling.

Students also work directly with a Medical Specialist—a practicing physician who has firsthand experience navigating medical school admissions and mentoring pre-med and medical students. This dual support model ensures that every applicant benefits from both organizational expertise and insider perspective.

We also connect students to our in house specialists for MCAT and test preparation, ensuring that their academic preparation matches the strength of their narrative.
